Playing overseas is the greatest experience I've had in my life to date. It just
doesn't get any better than getting paid to play the sport you love. Thanks to
World Sport Scouting I was able to fulfill a life long dream of being a
professional football player.
Playing overseas has meant that I've been able to visit countries that I
probably would have never gone to. I was able to play football in six different
countries and experience the cultures there. I'd recommend to anyone
thinking of playing overseas to do it, it's a decision that you won't regret. The
teams that I played for treated me very well and the fans were awesome,
getting mobbed for autographs is an experience I'll never forget.
Playing overseas also helped my understanding of the game, learning new
techniques from coaches and other import players. This helped me to move
on to coach college football at Yale University after my playing career was
over.
I'd say to any of you, if you have an opportunity to get paid to play the sport
you love grab it with both hands. After all, how many of you thought that after
college your playing days were over?
