To whom it may concern,

I was Joshua Martyr's Running Backs coach at York University (CIS) from 2001 to 2003. I had originally recruited
Josh from Woodbridge College High School, where I saw him dominate the field of play and set the rushing
touchdown record in York Region.  In his freshman year at York, Josh got the majority of runs from scrimmage
based on his sheer athleticism.  He has marked coordination, balance, strength, speed and has improved steadily
throughout the years. I have seen him develop into a more complete football player and get a better
understanding of the game and what it takes to win.  He is a dedicated athlete with a good head on his shoulders.
His personality and conduct off the field also proved to be instrumental, increasing team cohesion and the
confidence of younger players.  I have seen Josh consistently test at the level of many professional running backs
and I think he will perform very well on any team that he his contracted to. If you need any further information about
Joshua Martyr please feel free to contact me at

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Tom Gretes former Head Football Coach at York University. I am writing this reference letter on behalf
of Josh Martyr. Josh played running back for me at York University during my tenure as Head Coach. Josh is an
outstanding individual who is both academically and athletically inclined and used those talents to excel at playing
running back for me at York. He is a focused, level headed player and individual and was unquestionably one of
the, if not the top, all round athlete on the team and the OUA throughout his career at York.

His combination of size, power, maneuverability and sheer speed make him a significant offensive weapon and
he is potentially a constant big-play threat on any given play. Josh has the ability to be a dual threat out of the back
field as a runner but also as a receiver. Josh has great hands and can be utilized as a receiver on swing passes,
screens, or going down field on routes. Josh is also a great blocker utilizing his strength and agility to protect the
quarterback. Josh is also an outstanding special teams player. He played on most of our teams both as a blocker
and returner.

I highly recommend Josh as a player as an athlete and as a person. He will make a valuable addition and
contribution to any European team.

To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is in reference to Josh Martyr, and his participation in our football program.  As Josh' Running Back at
York University in 2004, I had an opportunity to view Josh's behavior on and off the football field.   My evaluation of
Josh is based on 20 years of coaching experience, 8 years at York University. I had the pleasure and the privilege
of coaching many great running backs of Josh’s caliber that have moved on to the CFL and NFL.  Josh in my
opinion has the qualities to be playing football at the pro level.

Off the field Josh is always polite and well behaved.  He has developed an excellent rapport with his teammates
and coaching staff earning the respect he deserves.  He is well liked by his teammates and the entire coaching
staff.  He never speaks out of turn or talks back to any of the coaches.   He does everything he is asked to do and
more.   His dedication to watching film and understanding the playbook was exceptional.  Josh’s method of
leadership was to lead by example

On the field Josh is very coachable, works very hard to do his best, he puts a lot of effort in our drills during practice
and gives his all on every down in our games.  He is focused, disciplined, and dedicated.    I consider Josh to be a
key team player on our squad.  His performance on the field has been very exceptional.  His fundamentals are
well developed.  He takes in key coaching details well.  Josh has developed into a formidable football player on
the offensive side of the ball and possesses profound natural athleticism. Josh has excellent acceleration to reach
great speed on the run, inside and outside.  In addition he is a powerful, sizeable athlete who likes contact and is
hard to bring down. Other qualities include his agility and dependability as an aggressive pass blocker in the
backfield during pass protection. Josh has reliable hands and catches fundamentality well which we utilized at
times as a slot receiver during the season. Josh would be a significant asset to any offense he is placed on in
Europe.

In conclusion, I am proud to have Josh on my team.  His contribution and attitude towards our program is inspiring
and much appreciated.   Josh is always positive and this in turn encourages other players to do the same.   Josh is
a well-mannered young man and a great competitor.   I fully endorse Josh Martyr as an excellent athlete and
student.
