calling card, like I feel I was meant to play this game until the day that I die. It just seems like football comes
natural to me, like I really don’t have to think, I just feel what I have to do and I just do it without any second thought.
Football has been a huge part of my life. It's kind of directed it since I've been seven years old. It was my favorite
sport right from the beginning, and remained so right up through the high school level and college level.
I started my football career in the Pee Wee leagues in Beaufort, South Carolina, and its here is where I think I got
most of my toughness from. I’ve been playing football for almost sixteen years and experience, intelligence,
reaction, toughness, and heart is something you pick up in a matter of a day, a month, a year, or even three years
of this game, it takes years and years of dedicated to acquire these skills.
I was a four year letter winner in football and track at Beaufort High School (Beaufort, South Carolina). Of those four
years in football, I was a three year starter at wide receiver and it wasn’t until my senior year that I started playing
both ways at wide receiver and cornerback/safety, along with returning punts and kickoffs. I led my team in catches
and receiving yards my junior and senior years and was named to the all-area team. I also lettered in track, of
which I ran the 400 hurdles (was the record holder at 57.6), 4x400 team, 110 hurdles, the shuttle hurdle team
(owns the school record and several track records), and pole vaulted.
After high school, I attended Coastal Carolina University (D-1AA). There I was redshirted my freshman year. I
decided to transfer out to Averett University (D-III). My first year at Averett, I was on the travel squad but recorded no
stats but did see some action. My second year, I got into the starting rotation at wide receiver before an injury cut
my season short. In 5 games, I had 3 catches for 35yards. I did still contribute to the team and help us win our
conference that year. My senior year, I was a starter at wide receiver and made huge strives in our passing game.
I was able to play any of the four positions that we have at wide receiver, which isn’t easy. But my senior year was
also cut short due to an injury. In 4 games started, I had 12 catches for 84 yards, 3 pancakes, and started on
special teams. In college I majored in Management Science.
I am a dedicated player that has a no quit attitude. I live for football, I would die for football, and I just have to heart
and passion for the game. I’m a vocal leader and I’m very competitive and just want to win and will do anything
possible to do so. Twenty years for now, when the game is done with me playing it, just know that I will always be
around it and always sharing my knowledge of the game to those who want to listen and learn. I’m me, there’s
nothing else I can be- I’M A COMPETITOR.
